Description

Eno River State Park offers secluded wilderness trails with the serenity of a clear river drifting and cascading over a rocky stream bed. The Eno River is a swift, shallow stream flowing from northwest Orange County into Durham County for 33 miles where it joins the Flat River to become the Neuse and flows into Falls Lake. Its waters roll through wilderness, passing historic mill sites, river bluffs covered with flowering shrubs, and fords used by early settlers.

Camping at Eno River is all classified as primitive backcountry camping. Whether you are choosing the group camps or the family campsites you will be parking your vehicle and hiking with everything you need into the campsites, which vary from 0.5 miles to 1.2 miles from the parking areas. All campers should check in at the park office before proceeding to their site to check in and get parking passes.
